Abuse

Despite explaining to my dad, Dan Hogan, that a residential program is not a good option for me, he declares that he will only help me with food, shelter, and medical treatment if I “change my mind”–as if whether or not a medical treatment is appropriate is based on whether or not I want it to be a good treatment.

Sadly, the behavior of my dad, Dan Hogan, is not new. I reply to his offer to “help” me by explaining why he is not a partner if my decision making and why I did not declare bankruptcy–even though it would have been good for me.

I explained to my dad, Dan Hogan, that I am not a candidate for a residential program, but his reply ignores what I wrote, again.

This email conversation with my dad, Dan Hogan, started with him asking me what help I needed. He ignored all of the things I told him and suggested a residential treatment program. I explain to him that my medical conditions are not right for a residential treatment program and remind him that he purposely decided to be ignorant of my problems therefore he is not a position to know what is best for me.

My dad, Dan Hogan, originally asked me what help I needed. I wrote two emails to him, but he did not respond to anything I wrote and instead answered his own question and offered something I did not ask for.

I point out to my dad that he has a significant financial interest in my recovery.

In response to my dad, Dan Hogan, asking me what help I needed, I explained the bare minimum of my needs to survive. His reply is one sentence long and does not respond to anything I wrote. In fact, he has not yet explicitly made an offer to help me.

Even though I clearly write on my website what help I need, my dad sends me an email and asks, “what help are you seeking?”
