You have the power to support my recovery

My past successes

I have been a committed prosecutor and an impassioned teacher. I graduated law school in the top 3% of my class, I earned a bachelor’s of science in psychology, and I received 15 computer certifications. I enjoy working hard, and I love helping other people.

My present challenges

I am currently trying to break the vicious cycle of being too poor to buy medicine to treat my medical problems, which are so severe that I cannot work, so I am extremely poor (…so I cannot buy medicine…).

Some major medical problems:

  1. Chronic depression
  2. Complex post traumatic stress disorder
  3. Generalized anxiety disorder
  4. Panic disorder
  5. Tumor on my chest
  6. Dental

What has not worked for me

I have asked for help from governments in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Egypt. I have asked for help from religious organizations. I have asked for help from my family. I have begged on the streets. I have tried dozens of other things, but I am still in the poverty trap. Sometimes, good people have bad luck and bad experiences.

You have the power to support my recovery

Because of your support, I will break the vicious cycle of poverty–illness–work-incapability–homelessness, and because of your support, I will regain my health. I will continue to work hard, and I will be ecstatic to help people again.

I want to be financially self-sufficient again. As a 17-year-old in Texas, I started my own business with only a car and money for gas. I pulled myself up by my bootstraps (it was Texas, how else would I have done it?) and was successful, including: in business, at Dell Computer, in an internet start-up, as a teacher, and as a state’s attorney.

Three months of assistance

I need help to get back on my feet. You can significantly transform my life with one donation per month for three months. Select what you can afford: the equivalent of you buying for yourself dinner-for-two each week, or one movie ticket each week, or a cheap lunch every week, or a 2-liter soda each week.
