Two minutes per day for twenty-one days. Josh wrote me an email that prompted two of the following.
- Addiction, including alcoholism, has some genetic components. I have relatives on both sides on my family who have struggled with addiction. I am grateful that I do not have any addiction problems. If I did, then the benzodiazepines would likely have caused new problems and I almost certainly would have become an alcoholic by now.
- I am struggling, greatly, with depression and anxiety, but there are many other mental illnesses that can often be even more disruptive to one’s life. I am grateful I have never had to deal with hallucinations, for example, but it is possible to overcome serious disorders with enough help.
- Dictionaries. I like them.
