Who is involved? The United Nations has troops and officials in the Congo. The rebels, led my Laurent Nkunda, hold many parts of eastern Congo, while Congolese troops are fighting the rebels and other militias.
Where is this happening? Congo is in central Africa. The civil war is happening mostly in eastern Congo, especially near Rwanda. Congolese troops looted Kanyabayonga–60 miles north of Goma.
