In 2018, John Oliver accurately described many of the horrible actions that many prosecutors regularly do, and he calls for change. Nine years before John Oliver, I was a prosecutor, my actions were the polar opposite of the horrible actions Oliver describes, I was aware of all of the problems he says we should change, and I did change them. You say you want good prosecutors, but I am homeless and ostracized. You don’t want change. You want to watch this video and feel morally superior to these prosecutors; you will say, “If I were a prosecutor, I would never do that.” You want to feel morally superior and laugh about these problems. You don’t want change. You won’t do anything.
