Blackwater, a “security contractor”, in Iraq may not be given a license to continue operating by the Iraqis. The NY Times reports that “officials” say that “Blackwater’s services would not be easily replaced.” In other words, it would be really hard to find people to provide security in Iraq. Apparently, the Iraqi police cannot do it, despite American claims to the contrary. Oh, and the American military is also unable to replace Blackwater’s security services even though the US has well over 100,000 soldiers in Iraq. What?
