Privacy policy

I, Hunter Hogan, own and do most of the work on this website, HunterThinks.com. As of 5 April 2018, the website is on a virtual server with a Linux operating system. The web-server software is Apache. WordPress.org software and various plugins manage most content.

When you access HunterThinks.com, your action could create one or more log entries in software controlled by HunterThinks.com, one or more cookies served by HunterThinks.com, and/or pass data to one or more third-party services used by HunterThinks.com.

Some logs, cookies, or third-party services might have information about you. Some of that information might be stored by HunterThinks.com. Within the limits of the laws of humans and the laws of physics, I can do whatever the fuck I want with that information.

Since I made this website in 2001, my most common action has been to ignore, then delete, the information. But you should assume that I might become a dickhead like Google, Equifax, Facebook, the US government, or nearly every other government, and use the information to be an asshole: always within the limits of the law, of course.

If you don’t like my policy, you have many options. Your best choice is to never use the internet. A pro-social choice would be to help me to create and implement a better privacy policy. But you won’t do that because it’s more fun to bitch about the world than to improve the world. A third option is for you to protect your own privacy.

Third-party privacy policies

HunterThinks.com uses third-party services and some services might include the following services. If uses these third-party services, then those services might have privacy policies, but they might not adhere to their policies and nearly all of these third-parties have a history of making significant changes to their policies.

HunterThinks.com does not have access to any of these cookies, the information in the cookies, or your third-party account information: unless we do have access, but as of 5 April 2018, I am ignorant of any exception.
